The Division of Cellular Transplantation’s primary goal is to advance knowledge and treatment strategies based on the transplantation of living cells, alone or in combination with other tissues or organs, to cure disease. Working in conjunction with the University of Miami’s Diabetes Research Institute, the Division of Cellular Transplantation is part of the Department of Surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Performing groundbreaking research each day, the division and its researchers have developed important innovative techniques and are on the forefront of uncovering many more. These efforts consistently improve the quality of life for patients who look toward to cellular transplantation and the promise it holds.
