Donor Family Services

Welcome to Donor Family Services

The Life Alliance Donor Family Services Program serves as a resource for healing and emotional support. At times, it is the only support system that a family member has during their time of loss and grief. Brief grief therapy is available to help donor families deal with feelings associated with the loss. In addition, referral services are offered for those persons who require more intensive interventions. These services are available to families indefinitely.

Losing a loved one can be very difficult. Having resources that provide support and compassion can make a big difference in the lives of the relatives. Furthermore, as many persons are not aware of resources that are available in their communities, the program also serves as a gateway to information and help. Literature regarding grief, loss, and bereavement is sent to each family. Information regarding special circumstances such as becoming a widow, an orphan, the death of a child and suicide is also available.
