Reconstruction of a breast that has been removed due to cancer or other disease is one of the most rewarding surgical procedures available today. New medical techniques and devices have made it possible for surgeons to create a breast that can come close in form and appearing to matching a natural breast.
Successful reconstruction of a breast cancer patient requires a union of knowledge of advanced reconstructive techniques and a cosmetic discernment of the normal breast form. Our faculty combines these talents within a comprehensive, interdisciplinary team approach with the world renowned colleagues at the University of Miami-Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. We are able to provide the entire range of implant based and autologous reconstruction, including TRAM, DIEP, SGAP and Latissimus breast reconstructions.
