About the Division

The Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and General Dentistry is comprised of eight faculty members with expertise in a variety of conditions involving the mouth, head, and neck areas.

World renown for its work in reconstruction surgery of the jaws and facial bones (which may include dental implants and procedures related to rebuilding the jaws and bones of the face after tumor surgery or injuries), the division remains at the forefront of new surgical developments. Additionally, the division’s faculty continually conducts cutting-edge research, specifically relating to their discovery of the healing growth factor, Platelet Rich Plasma, and collaborative work with Bone Morphogenic Protein often used in dental implants.

A wide range of procedures are performed at the division’s three locations, including:
