Additional Philanthropic Opportunities

The University of Miami has a variety of philanthropic groups and giving levels in which individuals can donate. These include:

The Merrick Society
Donors with recognition amounts to the University of at least $1,000,000.

The Ashe Society
Donors with recognition amounts to the University of at least $500,000 but less than $1,000,000.

The Ibis Society
Donors with recognition amounts to the University of at least $250,000 but less than $500,000.

Grand Founders Society
This status is granted to members of the Society of University Founders with recognition amounts of at least $100,000 and less than $250,000.

Founders Society
Donors with recognition amounts to the University of at least $50,000 but less than $100,000.

Heritage Society
Donors who have created bequests, other irrevocable forms of gifts, and gifts of insurance to the University.

President's Circle
A grouping for recognition of individual donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually in the form of cash and non-cash. Levels include: Bronze, $1,000 to $2,499; Silver, $2,500 to $4,999; Gold, $5,000 to $9,999; and Platinum, $10,000 and more. A special level of Protégé applies to alumni who are one to 10 years from graduation and who contribute $500 to $999.
