Services

The Division of Research offers a wide range of services to the 16 divisions within the Department of Surgery. Services can be provided continually or on an "as needed" basis. The available services include:

• Staffing/hiring determinations
• Protocol development and collaboration
• External protocol assessment
• Interfacing with research administration
• Securing core laboratory/surgical lab equipment
• Identifying funding opportunities
• Performing statistics/sample size calculations
• Developing case report forms (CRF)
• Preparing budget analysis
• Operational preparation
• Publications support
• Overseeing research activities
• Internal Review Board (IRB) consideration and support
• Animal Care and Use Committee (ACUC) consideration and support
• Allocation of space
