Appointments

New Patients
Veterans who wish to become active patients at the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center should report to the Admission and Disposition area located on the first floor. New patients must bring proof of honorable military service and proof of medical insurance at the time of admission and registration. Patients are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, except in cases of medical emergencies. Patients should report between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. After registration, a health care provider will examine the patient to determine his or her needs. Current Patients
Patients currently enrolled in an outpatient clinic may call the Scheduling Desk for an appointment at the following numbers:

Patients who have been assigned a Primary Care Provider will need to contact their Primary Care Team concerning health care needs. Patients who are assigned to Primary Care will not be scheduled to other clinics without approval from their Primary Care Team.

From all points north:

• Take I-95 South to S.R. 836 (Dolphin Expressway) West.
• Take N.W. 12th Ave. Exit (North).
• Turn right turn onto N.W. 12th Ave.
• At third traffic light (N.W. 16th St.) turn left.
• The Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center is on the right.

From all points south:

• Take I-95 North to S.R. 836 (Dolphin Expressway) West.
• Take N.W. 12th Ave. exit (North).
• Turn right turn onto N.W. 12th Ave.
• At third traffic light (N.W. 16th St.) turn left.
• The Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center is on the right.

From all points west:

• Take S.R. 836 (Dolphin Expressway) East to N.W. 17th Ave. North Exit.
  Follow hospital signage to 12th Ave.
• Turn left on N.W. 12th Ave.
• Turn left (west) on N.W. 16th St. (just past Metrorail station)
• The Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center is on the right.

From all points east:

• Take I-395 West (McArthur Causeway) to S.R. 836 (Dolphin Expressway) to N.W. 12th Ave. Exit North
• Turn right on N.W. 12th Ave.
• Turn left (west) on N.W. 16th St. (just past the Metrorail station)
• The Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center is on the right.
