Welcome to the DeWitt Daughtry Family Department of Surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine. The Department of Surgery is comprised of 17 divisions providing primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary surgical care at Jackson Memorial Hospital, one of the busiest hospitals in North America; the University of Miami Medical Group and its affiliated institutions including the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. With more than 560 staff members, the department's mission is to provide high-quality clinical care with compassion, world-class medical education and cutting-edge research.
